MILES FISCHER, LPC, NCC, QMHP

I am a licensed professional counselor and qualified mental health professional. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Addiction Studies from the University of South Dakota in Vermilion, South Dakota in 2018. I earned my Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota in 2021. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor and licensed in South Dakota.

I am passionate about working with adolescents and adults who may be struggling with life’s obstacles such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. My training in Brainspotting Phase 1 allows me to help the client go beyond the mind to gain access to the brain and process using a brain-based therapy.

I also work with LGBTQ2S+ clients on a variety of issues including gaining confidence in themselves, exploring who they are, general day-to-day well being, and providing evaluations for hormones and procedures.

  • I completed my internship at Luverne Counseling while working with individuals at Southwestern Youth Services, a residential treatment center for males ages 13-18 in the juvenile justice system. While at Southwestern Youth Services, I interacted with clients one on one, conducted family therapy sessions, and led Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Seeking Safety groups weekly. After completing my internship and graduating in December of 2021, I joined Luverne Counseling. While there, I worked with adults, adolescents, and families in a variety of areas including trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns.
