Kendall Holland, MA, NCC
I am a pre-licensed professional counselor working under the supervision of Dr. Lori Evenson. I graduated from the University of South Dakota with a BA in Psychology in 2021. I earned my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Dakota in 2024. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor and am currently working towards licensure in the states of South Dakota and Nebraska.
I offer mental health care to individuals and couples using empathy and openness to develop a therapeutic relationship. I am especially committed to working with individuals who have been impacted by trauma, experience disordered eating patterns, or struggle with self-esteem and body image issues.
My approach to counseling is relationship based, informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) techniques. I have completed additional training in Brainspotting, DBT, and Internal Family Systems.

Before relocating to Sioux Falls, I worked at Lifespan Counseling in Omaha where I provided individual counseling to clients age 11 and older. During my counselor training, I worked at the Compass Center, a Sioux Falls agency providing counseling for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child sexual abuse, and human trafficking. I provided crisis intervention and suicide prevention support to individuals experiencing emotional crisis. I co-facilitated groups focused on trauma-based strategies for recovery for survivors of sexual assault.
